We advise pre-anesthetic blood tests for owned dogs and cats 7 years or older.  If blood work is declined, the pet owner or care taker must sign a release prior to surgery indicating that pre-anesthetic testing was declined, therefore holding Helping PAW harmless from anesthetic or surgical complications that could not be addressed prior to surgery.

INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SURGERY

• Please take away all food after 11 PM the night before, water is ok.
• All animals must be healthy and over 2 pounds
• Please arrive between 8:45 and 9:30 AM
• You will be provided with a form to fill out authorizing us to perform surgery.
• You will then leave your pet with us and come back for pickup in the afternoon.
• We will try to be as specific as possible about the pick-up time.
   
  At pick up, you will receive instructions on:
   
• How to care for your pet while still drowsy
• How to monitor the wound
• How to prevent your pet from licking or chewing at the wound
• Who to call if you have emergency concerns from the surgery

PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME SERVICES ARE RENDERED.
