ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTICS

BLOOD TESTS

We advise pre-anesthetic blood tests for owned dogs and cats 7 years or older. If blood work is declined, the pet owner or care taker must sign a release prior to surgery indicating that pre-anesthetic testing was declined, therefore holding Helping PAW harmless from anesthetic or surgical complications that could not be addressed prior to surgery.

INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SURGERY

Please take away all food after 11 PM the night before, water is ok.

All animals must be healthy and over 2 pounds

Please arrive between 8:45 and 9:30 AM

You will be provided with a form to fill out authorizing us to perform surgery.

You will then leave your pet with us and come back for pickup in the afternoon.

We will try to be as specific as possible about the pick-up time.

At pick up, you will receive instructions on:

How to care for your pet while still drowsy

How to monitor the wound

How to prevent your pet from licking or chewing at the wound

Who to call if you have emergency concerns from the surgery
